Archana S Lal is the co-founder of BookStreet, a startup in the education space. BookStreet is “Slideshare” for solved exam papers. Prior to BookStreet, she was a Day Trader & freelance finance- tutor. Archana, has also worked at consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers. She is an expert in business-processes, capital-markets. Archana was awarded distinction in college & 50th rank in MBA. She holds a degree in Chartered accountancy & MBA. She is a fan of Randy Pausch. Don’t be fooled by looks, Archana is a martial-artist & loves to kick-ass. Archana is passionate about education & believes access to information using technology, fundamentally changes the way we learn. She is 2014 Fellow in the Startup Leadership Program in Mumbai.


Arti Sanganeria,

Arti Sanganeria is a high-energy, self-motivated problem-solver who has had diverse experiences in healthcare ranging from biotech to insurance and geographically from New York to Mumbai. After working several years in healthcare finance and strategy in the US, she is now part of a healthcare- delivery entrepreneurial venture in India called Wellspring Healthcare. Wellspring seeks to transform healthcare delivery in the country by building India's first and most trusted chain of integrated primary care centres. Prior to this, in her role as Associate Consultant at Putnam Associates, Boston, she crafted innovative management solutions for top pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients on a variety of business problems across several therapeutic areas. Before Putnam, as an Equity Research Associate at Credit Suisse, New York, she was member of a two- person team that initiated coverage on the Specialty Pharmaceutical Sector. Extremely passionate about working in the healthcare industry at the confluence of business, policy, and innovation, Arti has a special interest in emerging markets' healthcare systems. Leveraging her technical knowledge and business acumen, Arti is ultimately striving to build and invest in impact- oriented businesses that develop and deliver better healthcare solutions resulting in dramatic improvement in quality of life. Arti strongly believes in giving back to the community and is a StartingBloc Fellow. She was a key member of the BOSTON+acumen founding team and led fundraising efforts for Acumen Fund. Prior to that, she was President for Asha for Education, Philadelphia chapter - one of India’s largest drives to address educational inequality. She graduated with honors from the Liberal Arts & Technology at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia with a BSE in Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering and a BA in Economics. A Fellow in the 2014 Startup Leadership Program in Mumbai, Arti enjoys Indian folk dancing, playing basketball, designing jewelry, and spending quality time with friends and family around the globe.


Arup Soans, Give for Sports Foundation.

Arup Soans is the Managing Partner of QSport Media, a sports business consulting enterprise whose vision is to use sport as a catalyst to shape a better world. The company currently works with sports like golf, sailing and swimming; servicing clients in the corporate and education sectors. Arup is also Founder and Managing Trustee of a nonprofit initiative called Give for Sports Foundation; setup to help existing sports NGOs build awareness and raise funds. Arup is an expert in sports marketing and new media. He has 
worked at New York based Major League Soccer and Perform Group. Arup was part of the organizing committee for the Commonwealth Youth Games in India. He has also been part of the senior management teams at organizations operating in the IT, retail and marine sectors. Arup is an avid Calvin and Hobbes reader and ardent football fan. He holds a bachelor’s degree in management studies from University of Mumbai and a master’s degree in sports business from New York University. Ashish Gandhi, Postbox Communications

Ashish Gandhi is the Co-Founder & Director of PostBox Communications, a 360 degree digital & marketing agency which runs solely on creativity & Hard work. Prior to PostBox Communications, he worked at Intelligent Business Systems where he overlooked all operations as a COO. Ashish has also worked at Sadhrta Retail, Dimensional Excellence, tiDimensi, Déjà vu Solutions Limited, Arena Multimedia and St Xavier's College, Xavier’s Institute of Communication, to name a few. To name a few of his quality & traits, His core competency is his Creative Brain, he is an expert in conflict resolution & innovative solutions providing, Out of the Box thinking. He holds a degree in Zoology, designing, multimedia & Special Effects (sfx). He is a fan of Narendra Modi & ArnabGoswami. Bijal Kakka, BNB Infosolutions LLP

Bijal Kakka is the Cofounder of iAssist247 (BNB Infosolutions LLP), which focuses on providing an All-in-one marketing solution for local businesses. Prior to iAssist247, she worked at People Interactive Pvt Ltd (shaadi.com), where she played a role of a Sr. Product Manager. Bijal has also worked at Tickled Media Pvt Ltd and Zycus Infotech Pvt Ltd. She is an expert in Product Management and UX Consulting. Bijal holds a degree in MBA (ebusiness & marketing) and BSc (Computer Science). She is a fan of Arvind Kejriwal. Bijal is passionate about solving the problem of UX design. Chaitanya Mehta, Dawa.in

Chaitanya Mehta is the founder of dawa.in, a Start-up that facilitates the online sale of medicines at a discount. It also gives SMS Medicine Reminders, Cheap Generic Alternatives and Information such as uses, side effects etc for over 100,000 brands of medicine. Prior to working at Dawa, Chaitanya has worked as VP Digital Marketing of a Washington DC based start-up, empivot.com. He has a degree in Electronics Engineering from Mumbai University and an MBA in Technology Entrepreneurship & Venture Finance from George Washington University, a top 30 US School. He has also worked as a Growth Strategist for a Start-up, Prudent Energy, in Maryland that has received over $50 million in VC funding. He is passionate about start-ups and has worked as an Investment Associate for a boutique Private Equity firm, Blue Heron Capital, in Washington DC. He has worked at organizations such as Nielsen, Tata Strategy, Mahindra, Gate Group etc. He has worked in Management Consulting, Business Development, Market Research, Corporate Finance and Private Equity at Multi-Nationals in India and the US. Chirag Kumar, Healthier Foundation

Chirag Kumar is a co-founder of Healthier Foundation, a social enterprise working towards awareness, prevention and early detection of Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs). Currently the focus is on Cancer (through unCancer India brand) and in next 2 years they would cater to other NCDs. He has experienced both the sides – working for MNCs and startups. He is admired for his passion to work on new and challenging opportunities. During his twelve years of experience he changed roles across different functions – Consumer Insights, Business Research, Data Analytics, Pre-sales and Operations. He spent most of his career in Consulting and IT firms (Accenture, Capgemini Consulting) and worked for a Global Food Manufacturing Company (General Mills) in his last role as a Consumer Insights Manager. He completed his B.E. in Elec. & Telecom from Gujarat University. From his college days he has worked pro-bono with non-profits by applying his business acumen to their respective issues. Along with his social venture, Chirag is working on other ideas to bring the benefits of new technologies (mobile, cloud, analytics) to the Indian Health Sector. Darshan Lodaya, Meera Entertainment

Darshan Lodaya is Co-founding Director at Meera Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., a startup in the Entertainment and Animation industry. Darshan is also an Electronic Music Producer and Musician known as Bluesanova. Prior to this, Darshan has worked in Sales/Marketing for the last decade. He is an engineer and an MBA from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS). His corporate experience includes Consumer Durables and Banking sectors. Darshan worked in companies such as ICICI Bank and Barclays Bank PLC. where he handled sales as a part of large sales teams as well as selling directly to Businesses. Darshan is a singer, songwriter and composer and has been associated with Bombay Rock Association, a social and music group. He has composed soundtracks and background scores for independent films and plays. Darshan is passionate about creating world-class content. Faisal Khan, MotorBeam

Faisal Ali Khan is the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of 'MotorBeam', a web portal that carries honest and accurate news and reviews of the Indian automobile industry. He is the co-founder of ‘College Affairs’, a website dedicated to colleges and college students and also the VP-Business Development at ‘Concept Interiors’. Besides contributing to various international automobile websites, he also writes for Yahoo and Rediff. He chose the road less traveled and took the path of entrepreneurship during his graduation days. He went on to pursue MBA when his brainchild was still taking a shape. He is more of a believer in practical knowledge than theory but even in his sleep, he only thinks about 'Porters Five Force Model'. He firmly believes that nothing is impossible as long as there is passion and dedication. A fitness freak since his childhood days, Faisal has won numerous medals in sports. He participates in the Mumbai Marathon (21 kms) every year, but that does not stop him from enjoying some of the delicacies at his favorite joints. When not working, he is either going long or short on equities. He is 2014 Fellow in the Startup Leadership Program in the Mumbai chapter.


Hardik Shah, Theek Kar Do

Hardik Shah is a Chartered Accountant by Qualification, Entrepreneur by Profession. He is the Co-Founder at Theek Kar Do – a one stop repair destination. He is also on the Editorial Board at Mentor Mantra, part of the core team of Google Business Group (GBG) Mumbai, a RodinHooder and is scheduled to embark on Tata Jagriti Yatra 2013. He is also a visiting faculty at ICAI and Professional Academy. Hardik is an all India Rank Holder at the Final and inter-CA levels. Before co-founding Theek Kar Do he was working with Ernst & Young as a tax consultant for almost 30 months wherein he was rated as one of the best employees for two consecutive years and recipient of the coveted EY Excellerator Award. He had also headed the student’s wings of the Western Region of ICAI – during his term the students association was awarded to be the best in India. He has also served on the board of certain college clubs and associations. He intends to go on a backpack trip as soon as work permits and learning photography and a music instrument is on his wish list. He finds reading, writing, listening to music and spending time with himself as major stress relievers. Hardik has been a regular volunteer of Mumbai Marathon for past several years. He had once directed a play and also represented his school for chess tournaments. Hardik is 2013-14 Fellow in the Startup Leadership Program in Mumbai.


Kaushal Raj, Neutro Logistics

Kaushal Raj is the Founder & CEO of Neutro Logistics, which caters to both Importers & Exporters by offering services of Road, Rail, Sea & Air Freight, Freight Forwarding, Customs Clearance, Warehousing & Distribution and SAD Refund claims. Prior to this, He worked as Sr. Marketing Manager for 4+ yrs and handled Pan India Market for Edutrotters Pvt. Ltd, an Experiential Learning organization. He is in the Core Committee of Google Business Group & also in Headstart Network Foundation for organizing Startup Saturday in Mumbai. Kaushal has also completed his Executive Program from IIM-C. He has won awards for Contingent Leader representing his college during graduation days. He has also represented Mumbai City in All India Scholarship Examination. Kaushal is passionate about travelling which makes him explore new cities with their unique culture and a mouth on variety of delicacies. He also loves cooking and tries his hands on different recipes. In near future, Kaushal is planning to start an NGO which will sponsor education for poor & needy children. Lavin Mirchandani, Mirc Media

Lavin Mirchandani is the founder of Mirc media, a firm that helps businesses listen to relevant conversations on the web and derive actionable insights to achieve business goals. Lavin is also affiliated with The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) - Mumbai. As the Associate Director he helps drive communication and manage strategic alliances to help the non-profit organization achieve its charter of fostering entrepreneurship. In his previous avatars, Lavin founded SpotMyDeal.com - a social referral based shopping product; launched aTEEtude of Giving - a social-commerce cause marketing initiative with MTV, Inkfruit, Mithaimate and JoyofGivingWeek. He started his career with a short stint at the technology solutions vertical of Accenture. When he is not watching the Game of Thrones, he often found brainstorming with business owners over the adoption of new media and technology to hack growth and woo potential stakeholders. He is passionate about enabling early stage enterprises and inspiring students towards entrepreneurship. Lavin holds a bachelors degree in electronics engineering from Mumbai University (VESIT). Mehul Mukati, Axia Advisory Services

Mehul Mukati is a CA and a CFA with over 15 years of experience across industries from infrastructure to information technology to capital markets. He has been an exceptional performer and widely recognized for financial acumen. Mehul founded Axia Advisory Services Pvt Ltd in September 2010. Axia hand-holds start-ups and SMEs working with them on internal controls/systems, corporate finance, business structuring and funding options. Mehul teaches modeling, valuation, accounting and finance-related subjects over weekends. Earlier Mehul worked with Ambit and Emkay Global in equity research and investment banking where his financial acumen and knowledge of corporate laws was widely appreciated. He was rated as one of the best Capital Goods Analyst in India by Asia Money magazine in 2009. Prior to this Mehul was with Oracle India where he spear-headed a functional team to improve the MIS requirements and systems in the Oracle ERP suite. He has also worked with Torrent Power as the Executive Assistant to the CEO where, amongst other things, he led a profit improvement program, helped formalize the budgeting and MIS systems, tracked the regulatory environment and aided the CEO to create presentations and reports to be made to the promoters and Board. Naresh Menghrajani is the CEO of HomeIndiaHome, a company that provides authentic realty consulting for new home buyers. Prior to HIH, Naresh was involved in Students Publications, a pilot venture on his college campus. Naresh is a passionate person with a strong work ethic. He has a pleasing personality & possesses great interpersonal skills. On the course of his entrepreneurial journey, Naresh has acquired fine skills in the areas of business planning, sales & marketing &talent acquisition. Under his leadership, his company has won several awards from India’s leading developers for outstanding sales performance. Naresh is an avid reader. Furthermore, he surrounds himself with a great network of people; which he believes are hisgreatest source of learning and inspiration. Niraj Singh,

Niraj Singh is a Process Engineer at Carbon Clean Solutions Pvt. Ltd (CCS). The startup had developed a novel and patented technology to separate carbon dioxide from industrially emitted gases. The separated carbon dioxide can be used in beverages, fire extinguishers, oil recovery from depleted wells etc. Prior joining CCS, Niraj was employed at Renmatix, a company with a technology to convert biomass to biofuel. He has been granted a patent on developing a novel and efficient process for cement production. He has graduated with Masters of Science in Chemical Engineering from University of Southern California that is ranked highly across USA for its academics and sports culture. Over the years, Niraj has gained immense experience in development of a technology from its inception to commercialization. He looks ahead to use his technical skills to solve some of widespread problems our world is facing such as air pollution, dependency on crude oil and water scarcity. He wants to go for a return trip to planet Mars and believes that his inspiration Elon Musk’s venture will help to fulfill his dreams. He is a 2014 fellow at Startup Leadership program in Mumbai.


Pareen Lathia, The Alumni Portal

Pareen is founder of The Alumni Portal, a SaaS application that helps institutes and corporate organizations create private alumni communities and manage them. Pareen also runs REDCOM - a Drupal development company which he started 4 years back right after completing his MBA from FLAME, Pune. He is a self-learnt techie and a marketer at heart. Pareen is currently a fellow in the Startup Leadership Program 2014 in Mumbai.


Perzen Patel, Bawi Bride

Perzen Patel is the Founder and Chief Tasting Officer of Bawi Bride, a gourmet catering service that offers dips, desserts and Parsi delicacies. She is also Communications Manager at Ennovent where she supports the strategic development and execution of Ennovent’s marketing activities. Previously, Perzen has also worked at AUT University in New Zealand as an Events & Marketing Co- ordinator. She has over four years of experience in event design, project management and corporate communications and is a passionate chef since her teenage years. Perzen holds a Conjoint Bachelor of International Hospitality Management and Bachelor of Business Marketing degree from AUT University and has won several awards and scholarships including the prestigious Dean’s Achievement Award while at university. During the week, Perzen is passionate about communicating, executing projects and writing. On evenings, nights and weekends, Perzen has a strong interest in all things entrepreneurial and is passionate about trying new dishes as well as feeding those around her. She has previously walked 100 km in 32 hours as part of the Oxfam Trailwalker, travelled to 10 different countries as well as skydived from 12000ft. Perzen is currently a fellow in the Startup Leadership Program 2014 in Mumbai.


Pranav Khanna, FashnConnect

Pranav Khanna is the founder of FashnConnect, a platform for conversations between Fashion Bloggers and Brands. He is also Co-founder in a Fan Merchandise Ecommerce venture focusing on Indian IP’s. Pranav has been running his Apparel Export business K.P.Clothing and now seeks to play in the emerging Fashion Tech scene. Self driven, enterprising with a focus on revenue growth, Pranav has experience across the Apparel Management function driving product, process and client relationship improvements whilst negotiating partnerships across the ecosystem. Having serviced the demanding Scandinavian Apparel Markets, Pranav is interested to work with online social and contextual discovery driving customer engagement. Pranav has been part of the Elite Fellows MBA programme at Nanyang Business School, Singapore with executive modules at Wharton and MIT, USA. He also trained as a garment technologist and holds a degree in Computer Engg. He loves running and storytelling. Pranav is passionate about the environment and believes in the gradual mainstreaming of Eco Fashion. He is a 2014 Fellow in the Startup Leadership Program in the Mumbai Chapter.


Raghuram KS,

Raghu helps with revenue generation at Print Bindaas Pvt. Ltd., a startup aiming to disrupt the way enterprises and individuals source print and merchandise products. Prior to this, he worked at mChek and co-founded ScanCorner, an Indo-Swiss tech startup. He earlier did 7 years at large enterprises in various sales roles and completed the chore of BE+MBA, the societal passport for Indian middle class. He believes selling is fun and customers are the best investors at an early stage venture. He is proud of his excellent client relationship skills (including mother in law) and networking ability. Won countless awards for sales achievements and toured 20+ countries on incentive trips. He is an ardent fan of Guinness and wonders what stops them from being available widely in India. Rahul Dash, Purplle.com

Rahul Dash is Co-Founder of Purplle.com, India's first integrated online platform for Beauty and grooming products & services. He used to work as a Tata Administrative Services(TAS) officer earlier, a leadership cadre at the Tata Group. At the age of 25, he had already setup a rural supply chain for processed pulses, was in the core team which established India's first private sector aerostructure manufacturing facility, piloted low carbon fuel cells for replacing diesel gensets and rolled out sales standardisation for the India's largest selling light commercial Vehicle (TATA Ace). A multi-faceted individual with degrees from IIT KGP and IIM Ahmedabad, Rahul specialises in strategising and on-ground implementation of greenfield projects. He is passionate about using technology as an enabler in bridging gaps/divides. He is 2014 Fellow in the Startup Leadership Program in Mumbai(India) Chapter.


Rajesh Batheja, QikChat

Rajesh Batheja is the Swiss Army Knife of QikChat, a platform to build awesome real-time web and mobile apps. Prior to QikChat, he was herding cats at Microsoft Bing's AppEx team until he went crazy defying all logic with his seemingly impulsive decision to quit Microsoft and return to India. Rajesh has also worked at Reliance Industries and couple of startups. He is an expert in Mobile Back-End-as-a-Service (MBaaS) and API economy and here’s how he got to it:Rajesh serendipitously landed at Xbox Sports amidst a sea of game developers being the odd man out with his lousy knowledge of North American sports. Left no choice (pun intended), he spearheaded the transformation of ESPN app which was akin to offline disc based game into an online service with bells and whistles to personalize sports viewing experience, in the process attesting to the quote "ignorance is bliss”. Rajesh has been awarded with patents for innovation in Online Advertising, parts of which are now adopted as industry standard. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering. He is a fan of Jeff Bezos. Rajesh is passionate about solving the problem of SMEs to better engage with their customers. He is 2014 Fellow in the Startup Leadership Program in Mumbai.


Sunny Goenka, Blynk Systems

Sunny (Sandeep) Goenka is the CoFounder of Blynk Systems Pvt Ltd, a company on a mission to mobilize the hospitality industry. Blynk makes digital concierge apps for hotels and restaurants. He is also the Director of Hemlines Textile Exports Ltd, a manufacturer and exporter of textiles goods to some of the world’s biggest retailers like Metro and Tchibo. He’s a geek, an early adopter and passionately follows the latest trends in the world of technology. He completed his Engineering from UK and did his MBA from SP Jain Institute, Mumbai. His current idol is Elon Musk, the founder of PayPal, SpaceX and Tesla Motors. Sunny’s favorite quote is from the 1997 ad from Apple “The people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.” He believes he can change the world by helping to solve the problem of achieving universal primary education. He strongly believes that technology can be the answer to achieve this. He is a 2014 Fellow in the Startup Leadership Program in the Mumbai chapter.


Rashi Daga,

Rashi is passionate about learning new things (recent passion being classical music and French) and meeting new people, is an aspiring entrepreneur, works currently at a Bank as an Investment Advisor. She holds a Bachelors degree in business studies from Jadavpur University in Kolkata and also an MBA in Finance from Symbiosis Institute of Business Management in Pune where she was part of various initiatives including organizing the very first TEDx conference on campus, currently she also working towards a Business Law degree from National Law School in Bangalore. Rashi had been a part of the initial stages of 2 startups ​which were both in the Education space. She is interested in Education and Financial Services spaces. Currently counsels high school students in her free time. Rashi is very enthusiastic about sports especially Rowing and Tennis and has participated in state rowing championships. Also as a lover of adventure she dives in on every opportunity that sounds like one, and has done Trekking, Rafting, Aero-gliding, Para-gliding and Deep Sea walking. Devanik Saha, Unnayan Learning Hub

Devanik Saha is the Co-Founder and CEO of Unnayan Learning Hub, an educational venture which establishes after-school learning centres to support girls in their school education. He was a Teach for India 2011-13 Fellow teaching 4th grade in a low income government girls school in New Delhi. He was also named as one of the Top 25 Educational Innovators in Delhi by STIR Education ( a UK based NGO) for his idea of a low cost maths model and sits on their Teacher Advisory Board. Previously, he was a member of the founding team of Youth For Policy & Dialogue, India's first youth think-tank. He is also a TEDx speaker and a mentor at National Entrepreneurship Network. Being an international writer, he has been published and featured in Forbes India, HuffingtonPost,Stanford Social Innovation Review, NextBillion.net, MIT Entrepreneurship Review, Centre for Health Market Innovations, Deccan Herald, WomensWorldwideWeb, etc. He is 2014 Fellow in the Startup Leadership Program in Mumbai.


Aditi Talreja, DeliveryChef.in


Aditi Talreja has completed her Bachelors in Finance & Accounting at New York University’s Stern School of Business post which she worked in Equity Research at Morgan Stanley in New York and London. In 2009, she moved back to India to launch DeliveryChef.in, a web portal that enables users to order food online from their local restaurants and other food vendors. She is a 2012 Fellow in the Startup Leadership Program in Mumbai.


Arnab Choudhuri, GiftSocial.in


Arnab Choudhuri is the Founder of GiftSocial.in, a gifting site which allows users to send real gifts to social friends. Prior to GiftSocial, he worked at Xanadu Software, where he helped companies adopt best processes and practices in requirement gathering, architecting and developing applications, designing correct business processes, implementing Management Control in IT, defining strategy and incorporate technologies such as application blocks and software factories in their applications and solutions.. Arnab has also worked at 123SiteSolutions, investmentz.com, First Global and The Statesman Ltd. He is an expert in requirements gathering, Unified Process and OOAD. He holds a diploma in Computer Aided Design and multiple certificates from IBM in various software architecture disciplines. Arnab is an autodidact with a ravenous appetite for knowledge and books and loves to travel. For fun he goes paragliding & scuba diving. He is a 2012 Fellow in the Startup Leadership Program in Mumbai.


Chandni Sahgal, Hospitality Industry Startup


Chandni is a graduate from BITS Pilani, A Fisher Southam Fellow at University of Toronto(presitigious Massey College) and a Chevening Gurukul Fellow from London School of Economics. He is a a Charter Member TIE Mumbai, besides other trade bodies and associations, and speaks regularly in leading forums and schools. Chandni has performed strategic roles in corporates and headed a Boutique Consulting firm since 1998, and is in the early stages of another startup focussed on Hospitality Industry. Dhiraj Khot, Eco Recycling and August Solutions


Dhiraj Khot recently took over the role of CEO at Eco Recycling, a BSE listed entity and India’s leading e-waste Management Company. Prior to this, in 2006, Dhiraj founded and led August Solutions, an IT company that built enterprise products in engineering and education verticals and provided services to hi-technology space. He led August Solutions through successful acquisition of his services team in 2011. In his earlier assignments, Dhiraj turned around dying CAD division (for Neilsoft), set up a new PLM practice (for Neilsoft) built enterprise solutions for semiconductor industry (Triniti). He started his career writing Math driven algorithms and software for Geometric. Dhiraj has a passion for starting and scaling up. He fuelled growth of Linsyssoft into HPC space and advised several companies into Food, Hospitality and Education sector. Dhiraj holds MBA from IIT Bombay and Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from University of Pune. Dhiraj loves to cook, shoot photographs and listen to Ghazals and Urdu poetry. Fahad Azad, Robosoft Systems


Fahad Azad is Co-Founder of Robosoft Systems, creating educational & mobile inspection Robots since 2008. Robosoft uses bots as tools to teach science and engineering to school/college students through experience based learning and exports Duct inspection robots used for cleaning air ducts from the inside. Robosoft was voted one of the Hottest Startups of India by Proto in 2010. Prior to his entrepreneurial venture, he worked as a design consultant for an IIT Bombay incubated startup, Thinklabs. Fahad is an expert in product management, product design, low cost manufacturing, sales and public speaking. He was awarded the MIT India Technology Review’s Innovators under 35 in 2011, won the International design challenge at IIT Techfest, received a Bronze Medal in Aerobatic Model, won the Young Achiever and Future Technocrat Award by SEWA, a Mumbai not for profit, and the Society Of Automotive Engineering design contest for designing a mobile phone. Fahad was close to dropping out from Automobile engineering in Mumbai University but did manage to complete it. Gaurav Gupta, EcoSustainability, TCS


Gaurav is a part of start-up division, Eco Sustainability Unit (ESU) at Tata Consultacy Services (TCS). ESU is involved in developing IT based solutions to help companies reduce their environmental impact. Prior to joining TCS, Gaurav had co-founded an energy and environment company during second year in college. Gaurav completed B.E( Hons) in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering from BITS-Pilani in 2010. He is a 2012 Fellow in the Startup Leadership Program in Mumbai.


Jeevanand, Rediff.com


Jeevanand holds a B Arch degree from Anna University, Chennai and a M.Des degree from IIT-Bombay. Early working experience includes various startups like MyZus – Mobile VAS, JalvaMedia -Streaming Video and ExciteArabia – Online games, after which he cofounded ThoughtRains – Design and strategy. Currently works as Director, Projects at Rediff.com. Over last 10 years he has taken over a dozens ideas from napkin to market in various areas like social networking, group buying, microblogging, ecommerce, mobile and tablet application development. Played various roles including User-centered experience design, Usability, Innovation, Product development, Project Management. Nominated for NID BusinessWorld Award ’04. Manas Kumar Sampa, Unidesign


Manas is the founder/proprietor of UNIDESIGN.in, a company specialising in Institutional and Corporate merchandise including gifitng. Prior to Unidesign he has worked at Alexandre de Paris, a french luxury retail company as a Business Head, western region. Manas has also worked at Pantaloons, Raymonds, Crossbridge, Status Quo and Cotton Club. He is an expert in Marketing and Business development. Manas was awarded Best student award in overall performance category, Best retail project award during Retail Management. He also has won the Most Creative Collection Award during his graduation at NIFT. He is a fan of motorsports and is passionate about photography and travelling. Manas is passionate about solving the problem of reporting and talent search, he plans to start e-commerce based portals soon on these concepts. Manish Singh, IndianEntrepreneur.com & Founder, Kudos Infomedia


Manish Singh is currently working on building a social network for Entrepreneurs, Investors and Service Providers. He also runs an online magazine called IndianEntrepreneur.com. Prior to this, Manish founded a software services firm, Kudos Infomedia Pvt Ltd in 2006. He successfully led the company from a garage operation to its acquisition in 2009 by a US based Inc-500 company. Manish has also worked as a Subject Matter Expert for Amdocs Inc, a CRM and Telecom Solutions company. He holds a B.E degree in Information Technology from University of Mumbai. He believes that education is a great leveler and supports a non-profit organization – Aseema that works in education for underprivileged children. Mohit Garg, MindTickle


Mohit Garg is the Co-Founder and CEO of MindTickle, a Pune based startup that creates online social gaming products for collaborative learning and team engagement. Prior to co-founding MindTickle, worked as a Director in PwC’s management consulting practice at NY, USA. Mohit has deep product development experience and proven track record in silicon valley startups. He holds a MSEE degree from Stanford Univ. and MBA from ISB, Hyderabad. Nishma Shah, Locochat


Nishma Shah is the VP of Engineering and founding partner of Locochat, a high tech product which is at the intersection of mobile, social and location based services. Prior to this, she worked at companies like Google and Cisco in the Silicon Valley, where she was responsible for building innovate, next-gen products. She has deep experience in building systems and mobile products and has also executed on several startup projects while in the valley. Nishma was awarded several performance and achievement awards during this time. She holds a M.S in Information Systems degree from Carnegie Mellon Univ. and has also taken several entrepreneurship courses at Carnegie Mellon and Stanford Univ. Pavan Hemdev, Contact Diaries


Pavan Hemdev is the Co-Founder of Contact Diaries, a social and location based mobile search app with listings of restaurants, shops & spas, movie timings, hotels, exciting offers & events and much more. Prior to Contact Diaries, he worked at Acturis, where he concentrated on providing Business Intelligence to Insurers and served as a Technical Business Analyst. He is an expert in Mobile App Development, Computer Linguistics and Data Mining. He is a fan of Motorsports and Music. Pradeep Prabhu, Zappme Media & Entertainment


Pradeep Prabhu is a Senior Associate and a founding member at Crescat Excolatur, S.A., a start-up financial services firm with significant focus on frontier markets like Angola and Cameroon. Pradeep usicalso co-founded ZAPPME Media & Entertainment, a media consultancy firm that owns the advertising commercial delivery platform KRATOS powered by Mosaic from Tata Communications’. Prior to this, Pradeep was part of INX Media’s Corporate Strategy Group providing the Board of Directors and Division Heads with analysis of markets, competitors and emerging opportunities. Pradeep holds an M.B.A. [Finance] from Satya Sai University. Pradeep is an avid trekker. loves Indian light classical & bollywood music. Ratnakar M, Birla Surya


Ratnakar is part of the start up team at Birla Surya Ltd. a solar photo voltaic manufacturing company. As a strategic planning professional, Ratnakar advises the top management on implementation and execution strategy and was instrumental in the groups expansion into renewable energy sector. Ratnakar raised $200 Mn in debt alongside group resources for the execution of this unit. Ratnakar holds an M.B.A. from Satya Sai University. In his free time. Sachin Sharma, XStudio Technologies


After graduating from IIT Kanpur in Aerospace engineering, Sachin joined Synygy India as developer, a job that involved writing software for web applications. In mid 2010, Sachin and his colleague founded a startup i.e. XStudio Technologies, a company that is developing mobile applications and location based services. He is also a technology blogger at Trak.in. He is a 2012 Fellow in the Startup Leadership Program in Mumbai.


Sajid Fazalbhoy, Amedeo Software


Sajid Fazalbhoy is the founder CEO of Amedeo Software, a professional services technology company. Amedeo develops and delivers speech recognition applications and related applications using VoiceXML and other languages. These applications have primarily been used in the mobile value added services space and also contact centers and speech license developers. The company has rolled out several prestigious long term engagement projects for customers such as Alcatel Lucent, Genesys Telecom Labs, Reliance Communications, Nuance, Airtel, Infosys and several US customers. Additionally Sajid is also getting involved via investment and management in a VC funded IT contracting business. Early stage investing is something Sajid enjoys and is part of Mumbai Angels. Shirish Pandya, Total Technology & Rediff


Shirish Pandya founded a start-up firm called Total Technology after spending 29 years doing the same old thing. Total Technology is currently working on two projects one is with government on infrastructure & Second project is in the field of online media industry. Shirish is currently working with Rediff.com as a senior manager finance. Prior to this, he was part of Bharti Airtel group. Shirish holds an Associate Membership of Institute of Chartered Accounts of India (C.A) and he is also pursuing actuarial studies. Suraj Goyal, Printbindaas.com


Suraj holds a B Tech in Electronics and Communications, from Institute of Technology, BHU and has studied MBA from Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar. Over 15 years of time span, Suraj has worked with Indian companies & MNCs like SAP, Wipro and NCR Corp in the Business Development and Partner Management space; and he is now exploring the realm of e-commerce and entrepreneurship. Taylor Jacobson, A Penny A Day


Taylor is founder of A Penny a Day, a platform connecting startup social ventures to crowd-funded capital. Taylor spent two years as a management consultant with Oliver Wyman, and a year and a half with Teach For India, playing a key role in the launch and subsequently managing development.
