Bloomberg Ventures is an incubator and strategic investment vehicle targeting businesses that are synergistic with Bloomberg L.P. The venture group was founded in mid-2008. Unlike traditional corporate venture groups, Bloomberg Ventures also incubates and creates its own startup businesses - Bloomberg-branded, wholly-owned ventures so in addition to their venture activity, they also act as an operating company. Bloomberg likes to build, partner and/or invest in appropriate organizations with great people and unique, defensible and robust business ideas that enhance, expand, leverage and/or diversify the Bloomberg products or brand.

Current areas of investment: Data and content, new technologies, mobility, workflow management, customer service and brand enhancement.
