ANNA YOUNG (SLP BOSTON, 2021) FEATURED IN MIT’S INDUSTRIAL LIASON PROGRAM

SLP Fellow Anna Young believes that common people can create medical devices if given the right tools. Her team at theMIT Little Devices Lab designs tools and platforms to enable that to happen. 

As a leading figure in the Maker Movement in health care, Anna has spoken at TEDMED and Wired UK on the importance of the movement. She was recognized as a top Health Innovator Under 35 by LinkedIn in 2015. 

Anna works as the Co-Director at MIT Little Devices Lab with SLP Fellow Jose Gomez-Marquez. The duo co-founded MakerHealth, a company that creates tools to empower frontline healthcare providers to invent medical devices. The company’s software connects a community of clinicians, nurses, patients, and caregivers to share their medical device prototypes.
