RAMANUJ MUKHERJEE’S (SLP NEW DELHI, 2014) LAWSIKHO (LEGAL EDTECH) ESTABLISHES RTI CELL TO MAKE LEGAL RESOURCES ACCESSIBLE TO PUBLIC

Co-founded by SLP Fellow Ramanuj Mukherjee, Lawsikho is an edtech company that creates viable and accessible training courses for anyone who wants to learn practical legal skills. It also provides customized training programs for lawyers, businesses, and universities.

The company established an RTI Cell to make the process of filing RTI (Right To Information) applications easier for the public. The process, from filing an application to consultation, is done free of cost.

The RTI Cell has filed more than 500 RTI applications in various areas such as human and animal rights, environment, and information technology. Their team has also done a research paper on the judiciary's vacation culture and digital infrastructure regarding the RTI Act. Lawsikho plans to launch a course on the Act and a website for the cell. Its eventual goal is to raise awareness among people about their legal rights.
