Alan CarniolCareer Cadence
Alan is the co-founder of Career Cadence, a firm dedicated to providing its customers with career direction and the ability to market themselves. A recent graduate of the Yale School of Management where he was a co-leader of the Entrepreneurship Club, he was recognized as a Dean’s Scholar and a fellow at the Yale Entrepreneurial Institute. Prior to Yale, Alan was a member of the Quantitative Strategies Group at Public Financial Management. There he helped the firm launch new products and provided training and support for the firm’s consulting practice. Alan graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with honors in psychology.

Babak Kia is Adjunct Faculty at Boston University’s College of Engineering where he focuses on the fusion of Education, Innovation, and Technology into the engineering curriculum. He teaches graduate and undergraduate courses on a broad array of topics, ranging from Microprocessor and Operating System design to Communication and Wireless network systems. In addition to teaching at the College, Babak has extensive Computer industry experience; he has led product development and advised technology ventures on the design of Embedded, Mobile, Medical, Robotic, and Distributed Software Systems. He is a graduate of Boston University with proven academic and organizational leadership skills, and is keenly interested in bringing to fore the future of technology through commercialization and product development. He is a Program Leader and 2012 Fellow in the Startup Leadership Program in Boston.

Byron Chen
Byron Chen is an experienced leader of organizations in high stress, high tempo environments. He is currently a Company Commander at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego, where he leads Drill Instructors in training civilian recruits to become Marines. Byron has been serving this country as an officer in the Marine Corps for the last five years, which included a deployment to Iraq in 2009. He has been awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal and Commendation Medal for his leadership of various organizations. He holds a degree in Ocean Engineering from the United States Naval Academy. Byron's passion has always been to serve those in need, and his next goal is to channel his experience and vision to leading entrepreneurial pursuits with socially conscious objectives. He is a 2013 Fellow in the Startup Leadership Program in San Diego.

Celia Jenkinson
Celia Jenkinson is an experienced pharmacologist, and is a leader in the area of R&D in diabetes/obesity holding 3 patents and 29 publications in the area. She holds a BSc in Biochemistry and a PhD in molecular pharmacology. Celia has worked extensively in large pharma., GSK, Pfizer and Janssen across UK and U.S. Her drive to create novel, differentiated approaches to treat disease has lured her towards the entrepreneurial space, as large companies are no longer able to effectively foster an innovative culture internally. She loves to travel and experience different cultures and is passionate about passing this onto her children. Celia highly desires to improve the success of new medicines going into clinical trials and the ability of the treated population to respond. Her vision is to embrace the wealth of clinical and pharmacogenomics data now emerging for many disease areas together with bioinformatics to make a meaningful difference particularly for orphan diseases. She is a 2014 Fellow in the Startup Leadership Program in San Diego.

Jared is a problem solver, creative thinker, finance junkie, and entrepreneur. Jared is the Founder of Starfish, a technology startup which builds browser extensions that enhance privacy for people who like to explore the web. He was the winner of the 2011 Lean Startup Challenge. Jared was previously a consultant with McKinsey & Company for 6 years, where he managed teams and advised executives at Fortune 500 companies around the world and across a wide range of industries. Jared is a big supporter of organizations bridging the gap between the technology sector and the social sector. He is an advisor to Executive Directors at The Opportunity Network, I Have A Dream Foundation, and GivKwik, among other non-profits and startups. In addition, as a part of the leadership team of TEDxCambridge, Jared works to highlight the inspirational people working and living in the New England area. John Howard is a technology entrepreneur with international experience spanning the private, public and social sectors. In 2008, along with Bill Gross and others at Idealab, he co-founded Duron Energy to directly address the energy needs of off-grid households in emerging markets. He currently leads the company’s worldwide operations based in Bangalore, India. Previously John helped establish a water purification startup, a rural connectivity nonprofit, and worked at McKinsey & Company on many topics including international development, petroleum, microfinance and high tech strategy across the US, EU, Middle East and Asia. He also worked as a systems engineer at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory and a robotics startup. Parul SinghGradeable
Parul is currently pursuing an MBA from MIT Sloan. She was formerly a product manager at Visible Measures where she builds products that find insight in traffic data for video playing all over the internet. Current customers include MTV and NBC, with more to come. Previously she worked at The New York Times Digital as a product manager focused on multimedia and video\, and for six years worked as a web developer and project manager for Fast Company, Inc. Magazine and the Fund for the City of New York. \n\nShe started her career as an interface developer at Razorfish, and continues to be passionate about usable interface design, product marketing and packaging. She was selected as a 2009 Fellow of the Startup Leadership Program in Boston, and later became Program Leader. She has spent time volunteering for charities in the US, UK and India focused on women, development, and technology. In her spare time, Parul enjoys fiction, running, and yoga. She completed her BA from Harvard University in Government.

Samantha Smith
Samantha Smith is a senior at NYU Gallatin where she is designing a self-directed major in government and human nature. Exponential Capital takes a systemic approach to building entrepreneurial communities in Hungary by addressing the needs of entrepreneurs. Previously Sam worked at the Kairos Society, an international non-profit uniting top student entrepreneurs, and prior to that worked across the public, private and non-profit sectors for organizations including DoSomething.org, KIND Healthy Snacks, and the office of Senator Kirsten Gillibrand. She opened her first company in 2005- a retail fashion boutique.Sam is a leader in the social innovation community and student entrepreneurship space. She has also spent the last three years building the entrepreneurship community at NYU, founding the NYU Entrepreneurs Network, leading clubs, and organizing the first two NYU Entrepreneurs Festival. She is a blogger for Forbes.com and has contributed to a number of other websites. Sam is actively involved in writing innovation policy with the Roosevelt Institute and volunteers to teach entrepreneurship with NFTE and is an active supporter of Moneythink, a financial literacy organization. Samantha is a StartingBloc Fellow, Opportunity Nation Fellow, Teach for America Summer Fellow, and a 2013 Fellow in the Startup Leadership Program in New York City.

Sheree Winslow is a leader and a writer who has found success by listening carefully to needs, motivating teams to create compelling solutions, and using her competitive spirit to drive results. Winslow is currently the General Manager of Kickspark where she oversees operations and expansion development. Kickspark offers a variety of coaching services for executives, corporations, and career-minded professionals who want to leverage their strengths to pursue their passions. Prior to joining Kickspark, Winslow served in a variety of leadership roles where she gained experience managing company operations and more than 1200 employees. Some of her accomplishments include delivering P&L growth that exceeded investor expectations, delivering 500% sales growth on two separate occasions, and overseeing development of more than 2000 marketing promotions that delivered high return on investment for clients.
