Andy TsenCEO & FounderBoxii
Andy believes in building awesome things with awesome people.I am motivated by the desire to leave a strong, positive impact on the world around me. I believe entrepreneurship is the quickest way to effect change in a society. I want to create practical, beautiful, useful things that have a singular focus of improving the lives of those that own them. I double majored in Computer Science and Economics and UC Davis with a minor in Chinese because I was interested in how technology, society, and human behavior blend together, which I believe is the core of entrepreneurship itself. While in school, I interned at Morgan Stanley, during and after the financial crisis, learning about financial modeling and the market. My internship at Cisco helped give me a solid grounding in engineering. My career has followed a similar trajectory. I have spent half of my career as an engineer, and the other half as a product manager. In addition, I have started several startups and built several apps independently. One app I just released allows you to stream music from the largest music festival in the world.
Through networks like SLP, I will help give back to the community as well as achieve my goal of making a positive difference in the world around me.
