Emmanuel Dumont is a PhD candidate in Biomedical Engineering at Columbia University, where he researches protein degradation. Prior to starting his PhD, Emmanuel founded and led an NGO focused on health and energy issues in sub-Saharan Africa. He also has two years of experience in investment banking (Paris, New York, Sao Paulo). When he was in Brazil, Emmanuel contributed to the success of a socially and environmentally responsible luxury hotel in Brazil by devising its business plan and financial model. Emmanuel also designs and builds steel structures; one of his pieces was exhibited at the 2008 Architecture Biennale in Venice, Italy.

Prior to Unplugg, she worked at BTIG, where she was a director. Sarena has also worked at Deutsche Bank, Bear Stearns and Morgan Stanley. She is an expert in Accounting, Financial Analysis, Financial Modeling, Investment Banking and Small Business Development. She holds a degree in Business and Finance. She is a fan of Mike Bloomberg, entrepreneur. She is 2019 Fellow in the Startup Leadership Program in New York.
